Fire smoke exhaust fans remove smoke and heat during a building fire, creating conditions for evacuation and firefighting. Standards require these fans to keep running in hot smoke for a specified period, which makes high-temperature capability the first selection criterion.
SINDFAN smoke exhaust fans are designed for high-temperature duty and cover the common requirements of 250°C/1h and 300°C/2h. Impellers are cast aluminium LM6 (high-temperature type) or stainless steel, with high-temperature motors and bearings, and treated casings. Both exhaust and make-up air duty can be selected.
| Impeller diameter | Ø250 - Ø1800mm |
|---|---|
| High temperature rating | 250°C/1h, 300°C/2h, 400°C/1h (by project fire requirement) |
| Impeller material | Cast aluminium LM6 (high-temperature type) / stainless steel for corrosive or very high temperature duty |
| Motor | High-temperature motor, class F insulation, IP55 or better |
| Casing | Mild steel 2 - 5mm, hot-dip galvanised or corrosion-protective coating |
| Balancing | ISO 1940-1 G6.3 |
| Testing | AMCA 210-07, ISO 5801 |
| Accessories | Silencer, anti-vibration mounts, guard, terminal box |
Figures above are our standard ranges; the actual supply is per the agreed technical specification. Impeller performance curves describe the bare impeller under standard inlet conditions. Once installed, performance is affected by casing clearance, tip clearance, inlet straightening and guide vanes; tested as a complete fan to GB/T 1236 / AMCA 210 the result typically differs by 2-5%. Site measurement governs and no complete-fan performance warranty is implied.
The temperature rating: 300°C/2h demands high-temperature motors, high-temperature bearings and stricter material selection, and costs more. Select to the fire class on the design drawing and do not downgrade it.
Yes. We can supply cast aluminium or stainless steel impellers to the high-temperature requirement with performance curves; unit certification is handled by the project or the fan builder.
Yes. Where smoke duty and normal ventilation run at different speeds, two-speed motors or VFD control are common. State the flow and pressure for both duties when ordering.
Tip clearance between impeller and casing drives both efficiency and safety, and thermal expansion matters at high temperature. The casing bore should be provided by the fan builder and we supply to the matching tolerance.
