Mining fans ventilate development headings, districts and underground chambers in coal, metal and non-metal mines. SINDFAN supplies contra-rotating auxiliary ventilation fans (FBD-class) together with matching impellers and duct connections: two motors driving directly on their own shafts, no inter-stage duct, rail bogie available for underground use.
Mining duty carries strict certification requirements. Equipment for underground coal mines needs a mining product safety mark (MA) and explosion-proof (Ex) approval, and the motors, terminal boxes and control pushbuttons must all be explosion-proof types. We supply to the certification requirement of the project region.

Figures above are our standard ranges; the actual supply is per the agreed technical specification. Impeller performance curves describe the bare impeller under standard inlet conditions. Once installed, performance is affected by casing clearance, tip clearance, inlet straightening and guide vanes; tested as a complete fan to GB/T 1236 / AMCA 210 the result typically differs by 2-5%. Site measurement governs and no complete-fan performance warranty is implied.
MA is handled project by project. Full unit certification involves type testing and a factory audit, typically 3-6 months. Where local MA is not required (for example overseas mines) we can work to ATEX / IECEx or to no mandatory certification.
Each impeller is driven by its own motor in opposite directions with no mechanical coupling between them, so provided the supply is normal and both motors start the same way, running is stable.
From the total duct resistance: about 330 Pa per 100m for Ø800 ducting and about 1400 Pa per 100m for Ø600. We quote both a reliable and a maximum figure; acceptance should use the reliable figure.
A Ø630 contra-rotating unit including motors is roughly 950-1000kg depending on blade material (cast aluminium or steel); mobile versions come on a rail bogie.
